Asbestos Operations and Maintenence

2 day course. Can be taken the first two days of the Asbestos Supervisor Course. The course is designed for people that may be disturbing small amounts of asbestos (typically 3 square feet or three lineal feet) during the course of their work, ie: plumbers and electricians. Topics include: background, health effects, personal protective equipment, and recognizing deteriorated asbestos. Required under the AHERA rule for schools and OSHA regulations.


   
EPA Lead Safe Renovator Course 8:00am-5:00pm

8 hour course. 8:00am-4:30pm. EPA's Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP Rule) requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and pre-schools built before 1978 have their firm certified by EPA (or an EPA authorized state), use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers and follow lead-safe work practices. You Will Learn… • Why lead-based paint is a problem during renovations. • What the EPA and HUD regulations require of Certified Firms and Certified Renovators. • How to determine if lead-based paint affects work. • How to begin the work. • How to set up the work area to contain dust. • How to work in a lead-safe manner. • How to clean the work area and verify cleanliness. • How to dispose of waste safely. • How to document your work.


   
EPA Lead Safe Renovator Refresher 8:00am-12:00pm

4 hour course. 7:00am-11:00am. Required every 5 years for Certified Lead Safe Renovators in EPA governed states. The RRP Rule: Individual Certification • To become a Certified Renovator, an individual must either take an EPA-approved 8-hour training course, or for those with previous training an EPA-approved 4-hour training course, from an EPA-accredited training provider. • The course completion certificate serves to certify renovators (no application to EPA is required). • Refresher training is required every 5 years. • Workers do not need certification so long as on-the-job training is received from a Certified Renovator and the work is not HUD-regulated.


   
EPA Lead Safe Renovator Refresher 8:00am-12 noon AT YOUR LOCATION – minimum 300 S.F. room (4-8 Students)

We will bring this 4-hour course to your facility so you can save on travel expenses and employee travel time. This course qualifies for your 5-year refresher for EPA's Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP Rule). We bring the required supplies to conduct the same quality class we do in our regularly scheduled classes. One flat fee regardless of how many students you have between 4 and 8. PLEASE NOTE: EPA requires classes at your site to be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.

For slightly larger groups, we will bring this 4-hour course to your facility so you can save on travel expenses and employee travel time. This course also qualifies for your 5-year refresher for EPA's Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP Rule). We bring the required supplies to conduct the same quality class we do in our regularly scheduled classes. One flat fee regardless of how many students you have between 9 and 16. Not only do you save on travel time & expense, but this size group gets a significant discount on the per student cost.
